Gore invests heavily in field testing to understand end user needs which allows Gore to provide the GORE-TEX® GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ promise. Garments engineered with GORE-TEX® product technology are durably waterproof and windproof combined with optimised breathability. Each GORE-TEX® product class consists of a distinct laminate package including specific core technologies such as membrane, production processes and textile choices. Now having mentioned all these facts around waterproofing and windproofing. When you intend to make a jacket fully windproof, you inevitably end up having to sacrifice breathability in return. Poor breathability is actually a result of this very intention.
